Here are a few more photos: Libby wearing her favorite color, Annalee joining Walt in his favorite spot & all 3 on their first day of school (Annalee with a sitter - went well!)! Also Walt, Libby, Caroline, Gabby & Gracie at their fundraiser.
Also wanted to add a few things to Brent's comments... Walt & friends sold lemonade & baked goods for Hurricane relief for children in shelters near my family - they did really well! Walt drew a picture (I oulined the waves & storm clouds for him) of a 3 story house with faces in the top floor windows. He said these were the children waiting to be rescued by helicopters. He drew lightning bolts & colored most of the picture along with a little help from Libby & Annalee. They raised quite a bit of money!
Libby loves to be the first one to say "good morning" to Annalee & she & Walt both like to make up songs about Annalee.
Funny Walt story: we were talking about replacing a hanging light we don't care for (& also off center!) in our kitchen. Walt watches a good bit of HGTV on Saturdays instead of cartoons! He said, "well, Dad, I guess you'll just have to call "Chico" from "Divine Design" to help out with that wiring for the new light!"! We all laughed so hard!
Libby loves to tell us every detail from her days (2) in pre-k - so cute! And she does a good job remembering the songs, too. Brent is trying to run a few mornings a week now that it's not so hot. Libby waits for him & watches from our window in the living room. When he gets back , they put her "running shoes" on & run a loop on our street together! Good Libby/Daddy time before the rest of us wake up.
Annalee (as Brent told you!) is a perfectly normal toddler. She recovers quickly after being denied her "no". She also says "Amen"! & reminds us by holding her hands out if we happen to forget to say the blessing at mealtimes. She has learned our daily routine & makes/says the "brush your teeth" sign when we head upstairs at night for bedtime. She tries to say "love you" & "sweet dreams" at bedtime. She says "night night" very well. She can point to facial body parts when named & also says eyes, nose, mouth, knees & toes. She can now say/sign shoes, bird (tweet), duck, dog (woof). Amazing! She gets just as excited as Walt & Libby when Brent comes home from work.
Brent will begin another a Habitat House hopefully next weekend. They have been delayed many times on this one & are looking forward to getting started. I am not teaching Spanish this year (was only very part time last year with homeschoolers). Just enjoying keeping our family going & happy!
Love from all of us!
